ST. LOUIS ART MUSEUM VISIT AND LUNCH
On Saturday, February 10 th , thirty fortunate St. Louis Gateway Section members were privy to a very
unique presentation by Judith Walker Mann, St. Louis Art Museum’s Senior Curator. Judy provided us with
a stellar explanation of the “behind the curtain” insights involved in the preparation of major international art
shows at the museum, from its beginning to its conclusion.
After the presentation, we all enjoyed a delicious lunch in the Museum’s beautiful Panorama restaurant.
Thanks are extended to our host, Lee Naas. And SLGS member, Rudy Beck, summed it up best when he
said, “It was a wonderful event ! I discovered several things: 1) new friends, 2) how incredibly complex the
process is for creating a show of an artist or genre of art, and 3) a great new place to have lunch or dinner.”
